Refund and Returns Policy
Effective date: 8 September 2026
This policy applies to purchases made directly from VersaFit, operated by Versafit Pty LTD 58 658 671 820, through our website, showroom, sales team, or an approved VersaFit quotation.
Australian Consumer Law
Our products and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law. Depending on the circumstances, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund, cancellation, or compensation when a product or service does not meet a consumer guarantee.
Change-of-mind returns
We offer a 30-day change-of-mind return period on eligible standard-stock products. The 30-day period begins on the date you receive the product.
To qualify, the product must:
- be in the same condition in which it was supplied;
- not have been used, installed, altered, modified, or damaged after delivery;
- include all supplied parts, accessories, manuals, and packaging, where applicable; and
- be accompanied by proof of purchase.
For second-hand or refurbished equipment, the product must be returned in the same condition and configuration in which it was delivered, allowing for the wear and condition disclosed at the time of sale.
Change-of-mind returns do not apply to:
- custom-made, custom-coloured, modified, or specially configured equipment;
- products ordered specifically for the customer;
- clearance or final-sale products where this was clearly disclosed before purchase;
- hygiene-sensitive products that have been opened or used;
- services that have already been performed;
- delivery, installation, design, relocation, or other service charges already incurred; or
- products purchased through an auction, which are subject to the applicable auction terms.
These exclusions do not apply where a remedy is required under the Australian Consumer Law.
Customers are responsible for the cost and safe arrangement of disassembly, packaging, and return transport for change-of-mind returns. Original delivery and installation charges are not refundable.
Please contact us before returning an item so we can confirm eligibility and provide safe return instructions. Products sent without prior arrangement may be refused where accepting them would be unsafe or impractical.
Faulty, damaged, or incorrectly supplied products
Please contact us as soon as reasonably possible if a product:
- is faulty or unsafe;
- is materially different from its description;
- is not fit for its usual purpose or an agreed purpose;
- arrives damaged; or
- is different from the product you ordered.
Providing photographs, video, the product serial number, and a description of the problem can help us assess the issue promptly. We may inspect or test the product before confirming the appropriate remedy.
A delay in notifying us does not remove any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Where a product has a major problem, you may be entitled to choose a replacement or refund. Where the problem is minor and can be fixed within a reasonable time, we may provide a repair or another remedy permitted by law.
Original packaging is not required when seeking a remedy for a faulty product, although we may ask for reasonable proof of purchase.
Delivery damage
Please inspect your order as soon as practical after delivery. If you notice visible damage, record it on the delivery documentation where possible and take photographs before unpacking, moving, assembling, or using the equipment.
We recommend contacting us within 48 hours of discovering delivery damage so we can raise the matter promptly with the carrier. This requested timeframe does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Keep the product and its packaging until we provide further instructions.
New, second-hand, and refurbished equipment
Second-hand and refurbished equipment may show cosmetic wear, previous use, replaced components, or other characteristics disclosed in the product listing, quotation, photographs, inspection report, or sales discussion.
A condition clearly disclosed before purchase will not ordinarily be treated as a fault. However, your rights may still apply to other problems that were not disclosed or that cause the product to fail an applicable consumer guarantee.
Return and collection costs
For an approved change-of-mind return, the customer is responsible for all return, disassembly, access, packaging, freight, and collection costs.
For a faulty product, responsibility for return or collection costs will be determined in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law. Where equipment is large, heavy, installed, or costly to transport and is confirmed to have a problem covered by a consumer guarantee, VersaFit will arrange or pay for collection as required by law.
If an assessment finds that the product does not have a covered problem, or that the problem was caused by misuse, unauthorised modification, improper installation, accidental damage, or normal wear and tear, we may charge reasonable inspection, travel, collection, or transport costs. We will provide an estimate before incurring these costs where reasonably practical.
Refunds
Once a return has been received and assessed, we will notify you of the outcome.
Approved refunds will generally be processed within 5–10 business days using the original payment method. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to make the funds available.
Change-of-mind refunds exclude delivery, installation, and other services already supplied. Where a refund is provided because of a failure to meet a consumer guarantee, the refund and associated costs will be handled as required by law.
Order cancellations, deposits, and special orders
If you wish to cancel an order before delivery, contact us as soon as possible.
Standard-stock orders may be cancelled before dispatch unless work, procurement, configuration, storage, or transport has already commenced. Any deduction or cancellation charge will reflect the reasonable costs VersaFit has incurred.
Deposits for custom, modified, specially sourced, or made-to-order products may be non-refundable once work or procurement has begun, as set out in the applicable quotation or sales agreement.
Nothing in this section limits any right to cancel or receive a refund under the Australian Consumer Law.
Services
If there is a problem with an installation, design, servicing, or relocation service, please contact us and give us a reasonable opportunity to assess and correct it.
Remedies for service-related problems will be provided in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law and the applicable quotation or service agreement.
